Construction of the Port Nelson Workshop July 2016 - March 2017

The Port utilises a great variety of equipment from refrigerated containers to forklifts to containership cranes, as well as a number of buildings on site that all require maintenance. This complex work is carried out by the Port Nelson Workshop in any weather, at all hours of the day or night.
Earlier this month the fourteen strong team of engineers, electricians, mechanics, carpenters, plumbers and storemen moved into a brand new modern, purpose built building on the corner of Graham and Carkeek Street.
Construction of the building began in July 2016 and completed earlier this month by Coman Construction. This video shows a timelapse of the development of the Workshop building from ground breaking to completion.
