Milestone reached with 200,000th tonne of cargo

Coastal Bulk Shippings’ ‘MV Anatoki’ recently passed a milestone when it arrived in Nelson carrying it’s 200,000th tonne of cargo on the New Zealand coast. In this case it was a load of urea, one of a four voyage consignment due into Nelson over a 2 week period. The 52m long vessel was built in Japan in 1992, and has been active on the New Zealand coast since 2008, carrying such diverse cargoes as grain, urea, fertiliser and hay during the recent drought.
The New Zealand flagged vessel calls Port Nelson home, and is a frequent visitor all year round.
