Visits from support vessels for "Raroa" project
Posted on 23/10/2013
A couple of interesting visits from support vessels for the "Raroa" project recently. The AHV (Anchor handling vessel) "Skandi Hercules" arrived last weekend. At 109m long x 42m wide, the 8200GRT vessel is the second largest in its class worldwide. Arriving shortly after was the "Pacific Ranger", another AHV slightly smaller at 64m long x 16m wide. The "Pacific Ranger" was also alongside this morning (Friday, 18/10) having transported the all important new swivel for the "Raroa" from New Plymouth.
