About the role:
This is an exciting new position for a Business Analyst to join our experienced and friendly Business Systems Team at Port Nelson.
Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, you will work collaboratively within the Business Systems Team and across Port Nelson to gather requirements, identify areas for improvement, and support excellent business decision-making. Utilise your knowledge of business improvement methodologies and project management skills to support projects and initiatives through to completion and review.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate evidence of strategic thinking and business acumen that enables you to identify opportunities for efficiency, effectiveness or improved customer service.
You will have experience in gathering, clarifying and defining requirements, leading to the successful delivery of business improvement or innovative solutions within a service delivery organisation. You will understand project management principles and be able to plan and communicate the resourcing and timing of work streams, effectively managing risks and dependencies.
You will be an excellent communicator and able to present ideas and data effectively to a wide range of people and build relationships at all levels of the organisation. You will be able to work collaboratively and adaptably within the team, taking on various tasks and working independently.
Ideally, you will bring a wide range of skills and experience and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development. Specific skills and knowledge desirable for this position include Project Management, Business Analysis, Customer-centric design methodologies, Agile, Process Improvement, Change Management, and Continuous Improvement tools.
