Our business

Port Nelson handles predominantly containers, logs and a small amount of breakbulk and cars. We are a 24/7 operation with shifts commencing at any time of the day or night. Our major clients are the forestry, horticulture, aquaculture, automotive, food and wine sectors. Our Port is pumping so we need more experienced people to join our team.

We have the only Liebherr simulator in NZ to support us in training to operate the largest Liebherr crane in NZ!

What’s in it for us

We need fully trained and experienced Liebherr Harbour Crane Operator (specifically LHM400, LHM550 or LHM600). You will bring a minimum of 2 years’ experience handling containers and will have:

  • A genuine commitment to health and safety;
  • A strong appetite to upskill and develop;
  • To be physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical including
    drug & alcohol test;
  • Flexibility to work a range of shift patterns, variable hours days, nights and weekends; and
  • To be a proactive team player with a positive, can do attitude.
