Interisland ferry ‘’Kaitaki’’ arrived in Nelson

Kaitaki Rail passenger ferry arriving port nelson 17th August 2014 Kiwrails’ flagship Interisland ferry ‘’Kaitaki’’ arrived in Nelson in the early hours on Sunday 17th of August for a weeks refit programme. At 182m long the ferry has the capacity to carry up to 1650 passengers as well as 1780 lane metres of car and truck cargo. Built in 1995 the vessel will be in port for a week for internal and engine refit work.
